Two weeks on and the Momentum is Still Growing!
On September 9, more than 160 leaders from local government, health services, workplaces, and community groups came together at The Edge, State Library of Queensland for the Compassionate Communities Australia 2025 National Forum.
It was an extraordinary day alive with ideas, honest conversations and genuine collaboration. Together, we built new connections and co-created Advocacy Statements – a united call-to-action for governments, workplaces, health services, and communities to weave compassion into every setting of Australian life.
The research is clear: strong partnerships between communities and formal services are vital to tackling the challenges of ageing, caregiving, end-of-life and loneliness. This forum marked a pivotal step toward a future where no one ever faces these experiences alone.
We’re delighted to share our Forum Highlights video, capturing the energy and intention of the day. Starting Wednesday, 1 October, we’ll share one advocacy statement each week across our socials, complemented by a monthly focus on each setting in our Conversation Series.
To everyone who contributed your energy, insight and vision – we extend a heartfelt thank you! Together we are building Compassionate Communities across Australia, weaving compassion and connection as we live, die, grieve and care for each other.
